According to nutritionists, potatoes are the cheapest source of dietary potassium which is lacking in many people in the West. Experts recommend to consume at least 4700 milligrams of potassium a day per person. “Potatoes deserve recognition because it is high-quality and nutritious product. If you include it in your diet, you can easily obtain the recommended low potassium without much cost,” they stress.

According to studies, people who eat potatoes baked, boiled or roasted form, get potassium and vitamin C in large quantities, and eat more vegetables overall than those in whose diet this product.
