Malaysian photographer Keaau Wee Loon said that he was able to penetrate the exclusion zone around the nuclear plant “Fukushima” in March 2011 accident. According to the young man, he easily bypassed the security around the perimeter of the abandoned city, reports the Chronicle.ifno

In his Facebook LON explained that he was in the city near the station through the adjacent forest. At first the man tried to get official permission to visit the city, but authorities said the results of the paper will take at least a month. So the photographer decided that it is faster to enter the exclusion zone illegally.

“When I went to the “red zone” (the most contaminated part of the city – approx. ed.), I felt eyes burning, and the air — strong chemical smell. Have you ever imagined what it’s like to be in the exclusion zone, being the only person in an empty city, to be able to freely enter any house and shop? When I was little, I had this dream: I was in the supermarket and you can eat all the chocolates!”

“The radiation level in the “red zone” is still too big. I must say that few saw the city after it was evacuated all the residents. I even found money, a laptop and gold in one of the houses.”

The photographer said that most of all he was struck by the integrity of the city. Despite the abundance of valuable things in the hastily abandoned houses, the marauders were not here. Perhaps because the city is well guarded.

“I was struck by the fact that the city is still not “cleaned”. Like Chernobyl, that’s all looted. Perhaps this is the difference between Chernobyl and the accident at Fukushima.”

LON concluded that they viewed the city for a long time can not live people, as the radiation penetrated into the soil and water. At the end of his post the man is urged to abandon the use of nuclear energy.

The accident at the nuclear power plant “Fukushima” happened in March, 2011 after strong earthquakes and tsunami. Due to the radiation in hundreds of thousands of people were forced to leave their homes located near the plant.
