This sensation has told on a press-conferences in Kiev fugitive ex-Minister of resorts of Crimea Alexander Liev.
According to him, the Ukrainian activists in the Crimea several kinds of sausage and took it for examination to Kiev, which showed that in the sausage instead of beef “involved” horse meat. Liev did an investigation and realized that even horse meat is not fresh, but from the strategic reserves of the USSR.
“In almost all the meat was found the DNA of horses, which was not declared. In General horse meat is an expensive meat and in sausages it is welcomed, this is a good ingredient for sausages. But, when the meat substitute beef or pork the horsemeat, we need to understand what the problem is. I think it stems from the fact that sanctions were applied to Russia, has influenced its food security. The quantity imported into Russia of meat – almost 20%. This import is not, and consumption fell. They began to replace its soy and horse beef. We found out – began to reactivate strategic reserves long-term storage that were made during Soviet times,” — said Liev.
