New sniper complex, developed for the Russian special services, passed the state tests and is ready for serial delivery. This was stated by the head of the Central research Institute of precision engineering (TSNIITOCHMASH) Dmitry Semizorov, presenting a new rifle to Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin.
“Rifles have passed the state tests successfully, he said. — Completed work of the interdepartmental Commission already has the letter”.
As said Semizorov, the first delivery of the new complex will be carried out for the needs of the FSS code.
“We have received an order first, the first batch is small, he said. — She goes to the military operation in FSO, and are working already and serial deliveries”.
Semizorov added that continuous supply will be arranged “very interesting”: this work was attended by five companies, but the delivery will be done “through one window”.
“TSNIITOCHMASH takes responsibility for the work of the whole complex, respectively the state customer in case of any emergencies or maintenance planned maintenance refers only to TSNIITOCHMASH, not recidivate for all enterprises”, — said the head of the Institute, specifying that we are talking about the full contract life cycle.
During the presentation, Rogozin said that such sniper system was developed for the first time in the history of modern Russia and is not inferior to the foreign analogues neither on the accuracy nor on the firing range. New rifles immediately was developed in combination with thermal imaging night and day sights and laser target designator. But the most unique is the fact that the complex was developed simultaneously with cartridges.
For each rifle there are two rounds — normal and piercing, which is 25-30% better than their foreign counterparts. Their caliber — 7.62 by 51 and 8.6 68, respectively. Cartridges are manufactured at the Tula and Ulyanovsk cartridge plants. Sniper complex is equipped with an optical sight and a laser rangefinder for 2 km.
Semizarov emphasized that the presented rifle is fully made from domestic materials, with the exception of electronic components thermal sight. Base rifle T-5000.
