Finally, the new automobile show by Jeremy Clarkson, James may and Richard Hammond got its name: The Grand Tour.
The former trio of Top Gear has signed a contract with Amazon in July of last year, promising a large number of road adventures. Recently, it became known that the show will debut this fall. It is noteworthy that the name of The Grand Tour can be shortened to TGT or GT, the abbreviation is the same from Top Gear – TG.
Also today, Amazon said that the show will travel around the world – hence the new name – and will have the Studio with the audience on the spot, similar to the old Top Gear hangar. Only this time, the audience will be in a giant tent, not in a compact building. The BBC, meanwhile, is hard at work developing a new Top Gear with Chris Evans at the helm.
