First Venezuela is known for its beaches, the total length of which is equal to 3 000 km, but this is not all that this country can please and amaze you.

In Venezuela there are spectacular waterfalls, endless plains, majestic peaks and many other natural wonders.

In fact, in Venezuela, a beautiful and authentic places where more than 8, but today we will tell only about some of them.

1. Gran Sabana and Roraima
Few countries in the world, with the exception of large, can boast the variety of landscapes. These countries include Venezuela, on the territory of which there is a tepui (table mountains) – free-standing cliffs with vertical slopes and flat tops. It is the oldest landforms of the Earth, which, according to experts, appeared about 2 billion years ago. Venezuela is about 85% of all tepui planet.

The highest mountain – Roraima – located in the Eastern part of Canaima National Park on the Venezuelan border with Guyana and Brazil. On the plateau of Roraima there are hot tubs and a huge pit of water, formed by the falling roof of the cave. Over the mountain looms large cloud. If you go up, you will see the bucolic landscape that will forever remain in the memory of those who conquered the Roraima.

2. Incredible Angel
The Indian name of the waterfall is Kerepakupai Meru – literally translates as “waterfall of the deepest place”. Located in the Western sector of Canaima National Park, angel was inscribed on the world heritage List of UNESCO as the highest waterfall in the world (over 1,000 metres) and nominated as one of the seven natural wonders of the world.

To appreciate the beauty and size of the waterfall, you can only visit the reserve, which is a living witness geological history of the Earth. Angel is one of those places on the planet that you want to see at least once in your life. The waterfall is so huge that to see the whole thing very difficult, but the roar of water is heard from afar.
Angel falls is so high that to the foot of the mountain reach only a drop of water, so you can admire the waterfall better not from below, but with certain points who know the local guides. The waterfall is generally not recommended to walk alone. It is better to book a tour at the Agency, to spend the night at base camp before dawn and start climbing to the viewpoint. 3. Los Llanos — Wild plains
Imagine a grassy plain, the edges of which go somewhere beyond the horizon. Such a hot, humid plains, steeped in legends and myths, called “Los Llanos”. Plains occupy about one third of the territory of Venezuela and is considered one of the most important ecosystems in the world. Only here there are an incredible number of wild animals, and, almost at arm’s length. In the vast Los Llanos, the researchers counted more than 180 different species of birds. Also found here are pink river dolphins, iguanas, turtles, brightly colored butterflies, ocelots, monkeys, otters, anacondas, wild horses and many other exotic species of South America.

There is no doubt that every traveler will be surprised by the variety of wildlife of Los Llanos. You will have the opportunity to go on a Safari or just enjoy the view of the plains in which animals roam, settling on one of the local farm-houses. In addition to observing animals in the area of Los Llanos offers tourists a variety of activities such as rafting on the river Acequias, after which you will be able to enjoy the sunset and a glass of Venezuelan rum.

4. Los Roques
The archipelago of Los Roques is formed 50 300 reefs and sandbanks, and the presence of lagoons with clear turquoise waters and white sand of coral origin, turning the place in a classic idyllic Paradise of the Caribbean. Thanks to all this, and the fact that the Islands of the sea always remains calm, Los Roques has become the most popular tourist destination of Venezuela.

5. The Island Of La Tortuga
In the southern Caribbean sea, off the coast of Miranda state, is the island that for many centuries inhabited by turtles. Because of the large number of these reptiles Amerigo Vespucci called this piece of land La Tortuga – Turtle island. In the XVII century the island was the haunt of pirates, and since then it was not a permanent settlement. One time in La Tortuga there was a Dutch colony, but it fell into Oblivion, giving nature the opportunity to turn the island into another area of unspoilt landscapes.

Picturesque, serene beaches make La Tortuga is the perfect vacation spot, and the flow of tourists and their behaviour on the island is not controlled. Those who can afford it, sail to the shores of the island on yachts and catamarans moored close to the beach and set up camp right on the sand and enjoy the holiday surrounded by calm turquoise seas, palm trees and turtles. The length of the sandy beaches of La Tortuga is 25 kilometers, so find a deserted area is not difficult.

6. Bolivar Peak
In the Venezuelan Andes there are several peaks over 4,000 meters above sea level, from which a beautiful landscape full of contrasts in the regions of eternal snow, valleys, rain forests. According to legend, the highest mountain Peak Bolevar got your snow cover from the eagles, which was pursued by an Indian Princess. The eagles were hiding from hunters on an impregnable mountain. 7. National Park Henri Pittie
It is the oldest national Park of Venezuela located in the tropical zone of the Andes, on the border of the States of Aragua and Carabobo. The forests are three types of rare species of mammals – Jaguar, Puma and spider monkey. There are giant trees with a height of 40 meters, which the locals call “el nio” – “the kids”.

The Venezuelan government believes the Park is not only a reserve Fund of flora and fauna, but also part of the cultural heritage of the country. There still are traditional cocoa plantations, which are protected by law, but open for tourists.The main road through the Park from South to North, passes through 10 small coastal towns, that is, there are not only meetings with representatives of flora and fauna of Venezuela, but also absolutely wild beaches and comfortable resorts. The most popular among them is: Cata, Cayugua, Playa Grande and El Playn. Cuyagua beach is considered the best place for surfing in the country.

8. The Orinoco Delta
This is one of the cleanest areas of the planet. The Orinoco Delta consists of hundreds of rivers and small streams, which are practically not exploited, in contrast to the several thousand kilometers of navigable rivers. In the web of waterways in the Delta of the Orinoco still live tribes of Indians, far from modern civilization. Actually the Indians and attract most of the tourists who hire boats and swim in the village in order to see the “prehistoric” life.

Countless streams flowing into the Atlantic, and vast coastal forest is virtually uninhabited, but tourists will find something to do here. In the first place is ecotorism. 550 000 hectares of the Delta of Orinoco are under the protection of the National Park of Marius, in whose territory is inhabited by hummingbirds, parrots, piranhas, Howler monkeys, otters, alligators and many other animals and birds.
