NATO urges NATO countries to give up Russian weapons

NATO needs to get rid of the Soviet and Russian weapons, defeat dependence on Russian-made weapons. This is stated in the final communiqué of the NATO summit in Warsaw. compiled by leaders of the Alliance.

The leaders of the countries of NATO urged the Alliance members to move past the arms of the Soviet and Russian production. The Alliance welcomed the steps to address the continued dependence on Russian weapons. “We welcome the efforts of member States to address, if necessary, issues with the existing dependence on heritage in the form of arms of the Russian production”, — quotes the document of the Federal Agency.

Examples of Soviet and Russian weapons today is on the balance of the number of countries that joined the Alliance after the cold war. Such weapons are from Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, Baltic States.

Earlier, NATO countries have agreed on the terms for lifting the sanctions against Russia.
