According to experts, pain in the chest can often be caused by angina or heartburn, and the symptoms can be disguised as a heart attack.
How to recognize a heart attack?
Heart attacks are often – but not always – characterized by classic symptoms:
1) chest Pain, which is often described as pressure, squeezing, heaviness or pain
2) chest Pain that is crushing something heavy in your chest
3) the Pain may come and go, but it lasts more than a few minutes
Not all heart attacks give the same symptoms. Symptoms may be mild or severe, and some people experience no symptoms at all.
Pain or discomfort in the chest, usually felt on the left or in the middle, but not always so. The pain may spread to other areas on one or both arms, neck, jaw, or back.
A heart attack often comes with other symptoms:
Cold sweat
Shortness of breath
Nausea
Vomiting
Extreme fatigue for no reason
Uncharacteristic symptoms are more common in the elderly and those who suffer from diabetes.
