For anybody not a secret that the universe is full of mysteries. Mankind has just learned to get outside of the planet: we reached the moon and even managed to send a probe Voyager 1 to explore the limitless space of the Solar system. Much of what we know about deep space, creates even more obscure gaps than it was before. Here, for example, several mysterious phenomena, each of which may be the key to understanding the Universe.
Black holes
Black holes are formed when a giant star collapses. An explosion in a relatively small space causes the gravitational field of such intensity that even the ambient light falls under his influence. We have proved the existence of this strange phenomena theoretically, however, haven’t seen one of the Black holes. People can only guess what they look like in reality.
A huge emptiness
Unlike a black hole, a huge void can not be called a hole in space. It’s just a place where there is nothing. Neither matter nor dark matter. Light can pass through such sites, although scientists believe that it is charging some form of “dark energy”.
Dark matter
Dark matter is one of the mysteries for modern astronomers. To understand what it is will mean almost reveal the secret of the universe, as cosmologists believe that space is at 27% is dark matter.
The great attractor
This gravitational anomaly located in the intergalactic space at a distance of 250 million light-years. The mass of the Great attractor in the tens of thousands times the mass of the milky way. Hardly we alone in the Universe, because here the chance of the existence of another civilization is very high.
A new moon of Saturn
In December of last year, astronomers observed a surprising phenomenon: Saturn began to form the real new moon. Natural satellite of a planet formed at one of the icy rings and academics can not understand, what was the first impulse. Star Tabby
The star KIC 8462852, playfully named “Tabby”, attracted attention for its strange properties: the nature of the reflected light may show that around the star being the real construction work. And this is not some sort of innuendo with the tabloids — about the possibility of the existence of an advanced extraterrestrial civilization involved in building structures for the accumulation of stellar energy, said Tabetha Boyajian, lead author of the study NASA.
Dark energy
The second component of our Universe is dark energy. It, theoretically, was discovered by astronomers in the late 1990s. They concluded that the expansion of the Universe accelerates with time, requiring new, not yet open view of energy.
