The winter sports season “is ambiguous”, said the Minister of sport Vitaly Mutko, commenting on the results of the Russians.
“Work in accordance with the schedule, – said Mutko. – Know all the rules, all move. The season was mixed. World Championships have been held only in 15 of the 18 types. We took fourth place, and if you take with non-Olympic disciplines, then do the second. But we are trying to count on the Olympic. Now let’s sum up. See where that didn’t work.”

Last and current week there were meetings of the expert councils of the Ministry of sports for winter sports.
The season of speed skaters, curlers, figure skaters, freestylers and short-track athletes was found to be satisfactory. The performance of athletes found to be unsatisfactory.
