Moscow has called the conditions for the resumption of “humanitarian pauses” in Aleppo

The official representative of the Ministry of defense of Russia Igor Konashenkov said that the “humanitarian pause” in Syria’s Aleppo can be resumed upon receipt of assurances concerning the civilian population.

“The Russian Federation jointly with the Syrian authorities ready to resume “humanitarian pauses” in Aleppo by obtaining guarantees from international organizations on the readiness of the withdrawal of militants-held areas of patients, the wounded and the civilian population”, – said the representative of the defense Ministry.

On 18 October, Russia sent eight hours “humanitarian pause” in Aleppo to exit the city’s civilian population and armed forces, a temporary truce, later extended several times.

However, the UN failed to evacuate civilians from the city, as the rebels said that they can’t accept the ceasefire, which, in their opinion, aimed at the cleansing of Aleppo by political opponents.

The largest city of Syria – Aleppo – July 2012 partially controlled by the armed opposition. After the failure of September’s attempts to establish a truce, the situation in Aleppo has deteriorated, the city is subjected to massive onslaught by the government and their Russian allies.
