Moscow has accused Washington in “a direct undermining of the” economy of the Russian Federation

In 2014 the US is taking hostile steps aimed at a direct undermining of the economy and social stability of the Russian Federation, said the Russian foreign Ministry in connection with the withdrawal of Russia from the Treaty on utilization of plutonium.

“After the reunification of the Crimea with Russia the us administration made a series of hostile steps aimed at a direct undermining of our economy and social stability. At the same time began actively building up the military infrastructure of NATO and of the number of American troops near the Russian border, which fundamentally changes the strategic balance in Europe and fraught with increasing military confrontation and tension,” – said in a statement the Russian foreign Ministry.

The Ministry called “a forced measure” suspension of the contract. Moscow bowed to her “unprecedented sanctions and pressure on our country under false pretenses”. Moreover, it is noted that Moscow does not refuse from its obligations in nuclear disarmament” and the decision “is not aimed at worsening Russian-American relations.”

Earlier it was reported that Moscow terminates the contract because of “unfriendly actions” of the United States. It will be resumed in the case of the Washington several conditions, follows from the bill on the RF output of the agreement, which was submitted to the Duma by President Vladimir Putin.

In addition, the U.S. should reduce the military infrastructure and the number of NATO troops in Europe, to abandon the hostile policy against Russia and to abolish the so-called Magnitsky act, said the bill.
