More than 30 Russian fans remain in custody in France

Более 30 российских болельщиков все еще  остаются под стражей во Франции

French police released 11 of 43 the Russians detained in the investigation on the case of riots before, during and after the match between Russia and England. According to the newspaper Le Monde, while the rest remain in custody. Within 48 hours from the moment of detention they must bring charges or release.

“We have enough evidence of the involvement of some of them to violent actions that took place in Marseille,” – said the head of the Department of Alpes Maritimes Adolphe Cholera.

Bus with the Russians was arrested June 14 in the town of Mandelieu-La-Napoule, 170 km from Marseille when they went to Lille, where will be held the following match of Russian national team. The French government feared (and still fear) that during the match against the Slovaks riots again.

On Saturday, June 11, in a collision between Russian and English fans, including at the stadium after the final whistle fans, dozens of people were injured.

In this regard, UEFA conditionally disqualified the national team of Russia (it will discharge if the riots in stadiums again) and ordered the Russian football Union to pay a fine of 150 thousand euros.
