Let’s liberate the people from the “business”. Famous Ural businessman is sure that our society is confused definitions, and eventually thousands of professionals cornered and are in the thrall of schizophrenia.

Once in our language doesn’t have the word “business”, but it was the same enterprise as such. People just were called differently: someone was a breeder, someone a merchant, someone with a shopkeeper, an artisan. All these names have in common is that they define a man by his profession, what he does for a living. In itself, the case just turned out to be at the forefront. And was a separate profession “banker” — a person who is professionally investing finances in other things and makes a profit. For him the most important thing was the profit. It is, in fact, the one whom we may call a full-fledged businessman, or modern word — investor.
Now in our heads all mixed up. People who do not care about what to do and how to profit, we United the word with those who for many years engaged in one business and do not see themselves outside this class. And this difference is very important as for the man himself, for his relatives and friends, and for society. After all, what is the great power of words: if we call a person a “businessman”, we would assume that the key to his profit, the most coveted is the difference between revenues and expenditures. Such a person has one objective: to earn more, spend less. Where in this formula, quality, professional pride? There are no they here! They can easily be sacrificed to the accounting Department.
Money becomes the only measure of success, almost objectsource. Because the more of them you have, the better you are in every way.
If a person, for example, owns a restaurant in the warehouse of his mind and interests he is a restaurateur, it’s his business, he gives priority to the quality of the work, it is important to yourself not to drop the bar. This and the quality of the products, and the choice of location and interior, and training people. And how many more little things that most customers will never notice, but they will be made on the level because it is not for others but for themselves. Here once again not to save money, there probably will be ready some time to work without profit, if only the loss was not, and the deed was done. And a restaurateur will not leave his job for something more lucrative or fast growing. Here the usual business and does not smell!
In the 1990-ies, when the dam of state control over everyone and everything collapsed, and with it the welfare of millions of our fellow citizens, a very large number of people, who would not need to do business by temperament or interest, left in this same “business”. Because it was a matter of survival. They abandoned their profession, what they do, it would be more interesting, more useful and closer in spirit. As one of my friends: “How many of the big experts of the business were forced to become small entrepreneurs. And here are some of them still stay afloat, earned a state survived these difficult years, and now they were in a kind of trap.
The society around pushes such people to ensure that they are constantly pulling the strap external success.
Like, you’re a businessman, you can profit are constantly increasing, go on, show to others their wealth, well-being, as they say, conspicuous consumption. But many people do not have. They need not have the same inherent in the essence of classic investing, the pursuit of performance, passion for expansion, for new promising markets. Not need to deliberately expensive cars, huge apartments, country houses with plots of two to three football fields.
Classic capitalism is greedy, it is his essence. Hence, there was “business” as “concern”. This capitalism is always not enough, he grew up in an era when market expansion and the conquest of the outside world was natural for any businessman as a natural person to breathe. But the total dominance of this model has passed. I emphasize, not of capitalism in General, and that his version, which tried to drive our society after the collapse of the Union.
You will not go now on the street in the costume of the 19th century? You will be at least uncomfortable. So what you measure on a social mask of a century ago!
In our country, in our city, thousands of people involved in a specific case, and show care for the quality of this business, this business feeds them, but they are not ready for additional income to jump from place to place, not ready to conquer the world (and even neighboring region or city). They created the organization, hire people, pay wages, but they are not businessmen. Each of them has their job. And there are still thousands and thousands of self-employed people, which seems to be also possible to write a sort of “micro-business”. But what are they businessmen? These people are for the most part will never earn more than many highly trained salaried professionals. But I’m sure they choose this path because of an internal need for freedom and unwillingness to work on the other, and it’s still not about money. And, of course, there are people who investments. They professionally manage money, assess risk and invest.
The problem is that we all scratched with the same brush, and ultimately set the stage for the terrible schizophrenic split personality of those who move our economy forward: people who are engaged in business, we make to measure their work and their lives success criteria narrow stratum of investors. And, as a result, a deep life crisis lies in wait for such people, I see it in their surroundings. They have decades of doing and acting so that from the point of view of their alleged profession (“businessman”) is flawed and wrong.
I repeat that words have tremendous power!
Enough of the “puffed up” and try to match some image that does not concern you. If you have a business, it is important to deal with them, then the money is secondary, and that’s fine.
Well, if you chose a destiny of the businessman-investor, then we head into the bushes hide, go ahead, to new heights of financial statements. Because it’s the same thing, and if it is done well, it is worthy of respect.
