German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that her country needs to take more responsibility for what is happening on the planet. The head of the German government said, speaking yesterday at a campaign meeting of the party Christian democratic Union (CDU) in the Federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate.
“We’ll take on more responsibility in an open world, for what happens beyond our European borders”, – said Merkel, adding that Germany will not be content with the role of “exporter of goods and construction of factories”.
