Mercedes received the first order for a non-existent hypercar

Mercedes-Benz received the first order for a hypercar, which is in development and does not yet have names. A prepayment for a future model made by the buyer from Australia. On this edition of Motoring said David McCarthy, senior product Manager of the Australian division of Mercedes.

According to McCarthy, the buyer is not confused by the fact that the operation hypercar on local roads will be prohibited, as the German brand is not going to release a RHD version of the model. The amount of prepayment is not specified.

Rumors that Mercedes is preparing a 1,300-horsepower hypercar, appeared in the summer of 2016. Later it became known that the novelty will receive a hybrid powertrain with a 1.6-liter turbocharged V6 engine from a Formula 1 car.

At the Paris motor show, which opened on 1 October, Mercedes has confirmed the hypercar development and presented the first sketch with the model’s silhouette. The car will release a limited edition, its value will reach two to three million euros. The coupe will compete with the Bugatti Chiron and giperkara AM-RB 001, which Aston Martin is developing with Red Bull.
