“Mein Kampf” of Hitler may return to school program in Germany

"Майн кампф" Гитлера может вернуться в школьную программу в Германии

The book of Adolf Hitler’s “Mein Kampf” may again become the subject of study in German educational institutions. As reported TASS, next week the Landtag of Bavaria will discuss the possibility of its inclusion in the school curriculum.

However, it is necessary to mention that we are not talking about the original version, and recently re-released book, the pages of which judgments of the author are accompanied by a review of the scientific staff of the Munich Institute for contemporary history.

“The book Hitler, even though it was banned all this time in the original version and remains banned and now there was some symbolic value. It will disappear when all items explained by experts,” said the Institute.

Conversations about the advisability of republishing “Mein Kampf” was conducted over several years. The necessity of publication of the book with comments of experts expressed even in the government. “Sooner or later students will have questions, and rightly so, that they will be able to find the answers during class,” – said the Minister of education and research, Germany Johan angle.

Mein Kampf was written by Hitler in 1924. 700-page treatise contains ideas of national socialism. For half a century the government of Bavaria, who owned the rights to the book, refused to reissue. But January 1, 2016, the period of validity has expired, and at the Munich Institute of modern history considered it expedient to publish a book, with the necessary comments.
