As UNIAN reported earlier, on July 28 Russian President Vladimir Putin by his decree dismissed Mikhail Zurabov to the post of Ambassador of Russia in Ukraine. Charge d’affaires of Russia in Ukraine was appointed Sergei Toropov. On July 29, the press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that Russia has requested the agrément for the appointment of the Plenipotentiary representative of RF President in Volga Federal district Mikhail Babich to the post of Ambassador to Ukraine. August 3, Deputy Minister for European integration Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Olena zerkal stated that the issue of approval of the new Ambassador of Russia in Ukraine off the agenda. August 4, Peskov said that the Kremlin regret that Ukraine has decided to reduce the level of diplomatic representation of the Russian Federation in Kiev.
