Military-industrial Bank (VPB), one of the top 100 largest banks in Russia, has suspended the issuance of deposits, explaining their actions by the software update. It is reported RIA Novosti with reference to the customers and employees of the call center credit organization.

One of the customers of the Bank reported that on Tuesday, September 6, and could not withdraw money from the Deposit. “I was told that I will be able to pay only 15 thousand rubles, the rest of the statement. Another client told me that a few days unsuccessfully tried to replenish the debit card of the Bank with the help “Yandex.Money”, while trying to transfer funds from card to account “Yandex.Money also proved fruitless. The Bank in response to the complaint stated that the problems associated with the “more maintenance”, the deadline of which is unknown.

In the call center VPB told RIA Novosti about the “technical updates”, in which it is impossible to take deposits. At the same time, the Bank found it difficult to answer the question, when will these works.

Earlier, on 5 September, the Bank lowered Deposit rates, setting a minimum initial Deposit in the amount of 5 million rubles. In a press-service of VPB explained that such a step decided to go to limit the growth of new clients in order to preserve profitability on current deposits.

On Saturday, September 3, VPB notified about the closure of the offices at the weekend in connection with a software update.

According to the portal Banki.ru, VPB occupies 93-e a place among banks of Russia, the size of its assets as at 1 August was estimated at 60.3 billion rubles.
