Chinese companies operating in Belarus simplified the procedure of foreign workforce employment. The provisions of the relevant decree of the President signed this week apply to 6 companies and 8 projects in Belarus.
According to the decree “On implementation of investment projects, in order to create favorable conditions for implementation of investment projects” these companies have the right to “period of construction to involve in the implementation of labor activities in the Republic of Belarus under labor contracts of foreign citizens and individuals without citizenship who do not have permanent residence permits in the Republic of Belarus”.
They will be issued within 5 days of the permission to attraction to Belarus of foreign labor and special permits for the right to carry their labour in the country. As noted, “in obtaining permits for foreign organizations the results of the conclusions of the Committee on labor, employment and social protection regional (Minsk city) Executive Committee about the possibility of bringing into the Republic of Belarus of foreigners to perform labor activities in its territory and on the possibility of alien labor activities under an employment contract in the Republic of Belarus is not required.”
In the list of companies that were in simplified employment of foreign labour force, was hit by CITIC Construction projects the construction of the plant BelGee in Borisov district and the modernization of the Orsha lnokombinat, Xuan Yuan Industrial Development, which builds cardboard production in Dobrush, China CAMC Engineering, is building a plant for the production of bleached Kraft pulp in Svetlogorsk, China National Electric Engineering, building the Vitebsk hydropower plant, China Machinery Engineering Corporation, which is busy in the reconstruction of Gomel CHP-1 and “North China power engineering company in the Chinese electric power engineering and consulting Corporation”, which is building a power line from the Belarusian nuclear power plant and rekonstruiruet station “Minsk-Severnaya” for “Minskenergo”.
