Russia is not yet ready “for the historical truth about the Soviet occupation”, said the Lithuanian authorities.
Lithuania has expressed its dissatisfaction with Russia issued coins with the image now removed the sculptures from the Green bridge in Vilnius.

The Bank of Russia on 1 August issued into circulation coins of 5 rubles from series “capital City States, liberated by Soviet troops from Nazi invaders.”
They are dedicated to the Belgrade, Berlin, Bratislava, Budapest, Bucharest, Warsaw, Vienna, Vilnius, Kiev, Chisinau, Minsk, Prague, Riga and Tallinn.
On the Vilnius coin depicts dismantled last year from the Green bridge sculpture “Soldiers”.
