To combat terrorism in Beirut needs missile systems Kornet, guns and tanks T-72.
Lebanon appealed to Russia with the request to supply anti-tank missile Kornet, guns and T-72 tanks, which are necessary to fight terrorists.
In an interview, said Lebanese Ambassador to Russia Shawki Bou Nassar. At the moment, worked out the details of this agreement.
“Lebanon needs the weapons to fight these terrorists, especially Beirut is in need of Russian antitank missile systems Kornet. We are still engaged in negotiations with Russia to obtain this type of weapon is very important,” he said.
Negotiations are now at “an advanced stage”, in particular – the question of the cost of supplies, and payment method. According to the Ambassador, “Lebanon hopes to obtain these weapons in the course of the year.”
Also, Shawki Bou Nassar said that Lebanon did not intend to take part in any antiterroristicheskoy coalitions, including Beirut “officially will never interfere in the Syrian crisis.”
