Latvia: you, Neil, run up against rudeness!

Like in the Baltic countries did not scold the Soviet system, but in dealing with interethnic issues, they were unable to reach a thousandth of a success the Soviet government in this direction.

Moreover, since regaining independence, the Baltic countries have wasted the best achievements of the Soviet system and took the path full of “extermination” non-titular nationalities.

But not all in the Baltic republics stupidly followed openly racist laws. For example, the Riga city mayor nil Ushakov said that the Riga city Council, as engaged in dialogue with their residents at least three languages (Latvian, Russian and English), and will continue such policy in the future.

Латвия: ты, Нил, на грубость нарываешься!

Alas, “being proactive” in the Latvian state language Centre are unable to appreciate the democratic approach of the mayor of Riga to communicate with citizens, and gave him a ticket for the fact that the Riga city Council uses Russian language in the coverage of their activities in social networks.

That’s just not clear why prescribed only one penalty for the Russian language? If you literally approach the implementation of the Latvian law, that the Nile Ushakov could be fined and for the use of the English language…

But I was actually surprised not even a penalty, and the process of FINING – Nile Ushakov has punished EVEN without informing ABOUT THIS FACT. The Riga mayor was rather taken aback when reporters told him of this sad fact…

And anyway, how is it possible to punish a person without informing him personally about this? Probably, the Latvian authorities have invented their own know-how in the development of democratic Western values… )))

A few months ago for the innocent, but hitting right in the eyes of the Latvian authorities, the caricature (by the way, is signed in two languages – Latvian and Russian), making fun of the principle of presentation of Latvia’s financial claims Russia during “Soviet occupation”, Ushakov was summoned “on the carpet” to law enforcement agencies for interviews.

Apparently, the interview with nil Ushakov to the competent authorities failed to find strong arguments to justify its claims for its “catholicity.”

So this time the authorities decided to operate covertly and remotely. Here only it is not clear how in this case they were going to pull out the required amount for the payment of the fine from the pockets of Ushakova? )))

Riga mayor assured the journalists that “this wrongful decision will be challenged“.

Personally, I do not doubt that Turkey will be able to reverse this decision in court – the cowardly behavior of the authorities says that they are writing fine to Riga mayor themselves are well aware of this, and their solution is more of a declarative nature…
