Former Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin headed the working group of the economic Council under the President of Russia on the direction “Priorities for structural reforms and sustainable economic growth”. The decree appointing Kudrin published on the website of the Russian leader.
The group, which will deal with the priority structural reforms and measures to ensure sustainable growth, also included the chief of staff of the Russian government Maxim Akimov, Deputy Minister of economic development Alexey Vedev, the head of Sberbank Herman Gref, Deputy head of the Ministry of Finance Maxim Oreshkin, the first Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank Ksenia Yudaeva, as well as the Pro-rector on scientific work of Russian Academy of foreign trade, Ministry of economic development of Pavel Kadochnikov.
The working group is to identify current problems that hinder sustainable economic growth and to develop measures to implement structural reforms. Members of the working group will analyze industry and economic sector, state bodies of state power and control.
Earlier, the head of state signed a decree appointing Alexei Kudrin for the post of Deputy Chairman of the economic Council under the President of the Russian Federation.
