Mid-size sportsedan Kia will appear in 2017.
The company Kia has begun road testing its second rear-drive sedan (now the drive to the rear axle only has the flagship Quoris model). The first spy photos of a test prototype of a novelty which will premiere in early 2017 at the Detroit auto show, was published by Auto Express.
It is expected that a mid-size sport sedan will borrow some stylistic decisions in the prototype four-door GT coupe, which debuted in 2011 at the motor show in Frankfurt. The novelty will receive branded grille “tiger Nose” with led elements at the edges.
It is assumed that the basis of the Kia sedan will go rear-wheel drive architecture that is used on the models in the premium sub-brand of Hyundai, Genesis. The range of engines will include a 275-horsepower 3.3-liter V6 unit and a five-liter “eight” power of 420 horsepower.
On the European market model will also be available with a 200-horsepower diesel engine displacement of 2.2 liters. In the future it is possible the emergence of hybrid versions with the possibility of charging the battery from a household electrical outlet.
