Kerry: US not opposed to business development in Iran

Керри: США не возражают против развития бизнеса в Иране

The United States does not object to foreign banks conducted business with Iran in accordance with the conditions of the historic nuclear agreement between Tehran and world powers, the “big six”. This was stated by U.S. Secretary of state John Kerry.

“The United States does not stand and will not stand in the way of business development in Iran,” said Kerry before meeting with foreign Minister of Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif.

Earlier, Iranian foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said that the main objective of Iran in the nuclear negotiations with world powers currently is to provide access to the global financial system, and now the United States must eliminate barriers to the banking sector.

“Iran and the EU will exert pressure on the United States to facilitate the cooperation of non-U.S. banks with Iran,” said Zarif in a joint press conference with high representative of the European Union for foreign Affairs Federica Mogherini in Tehran broadcast live on state television.
