According to Kerry, he spent an enormous amount of time negotiating with Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. In addition, he said that he spent a lot of time with Vladimir Putin, noting that the Russian President is “smart”.
“I think he’s a strategist and tactician — sometimes more tactician than strategist. But he definitely has a strategic thinking. I think he wants to recognize his point of view and its interests to a certain extent have been met. Obviously, there are limits. We are not going to change their point of view on Crimea,” said U.S. Secretary of state.
