Jaresko: IMF took a wait and see attitude towards Ukraine

The international monetary Fund (IMF) is waiting for the fate of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and accordingly its ability to comply with the terms of the Fund, said Ukrainian Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko.

“Regarding the International monetary Fund – will they be funded or not: well, obviously… they will wait until it will be clear what the Executive power (in Ukraine), and will the Executive authorities to take responsibility for the execution of the terms on which they provided already 6.7 billion dollars and is about to submit the next tranche of 1.7 billion dollars”, – RIA “news” the statement of the Minister on air of the Ukrainian ICTV channel on Monday evening.

Last week the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko supported the reformatting of the composition of the Ukrainian government, according to him, the Ministers-reformers should remain at their posts.

On the same day it was revealed that according to a survey conducted by the sociological group “Rating”, the resignation of Arseniy Yatsenyuk from the post of Prime Minister of Ukraine is supported by 70% of inhabitants of Ukraine. The majority of citizens would like to see the head of the Ukrainian Cabinet of Mikhail Saakashvili.

Note that for Yatsenyuk’s resignation was made by three of the four factions of the ruling majority in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

Possible Yatsenyuk’s resignation is actively discussed in Ukraine, among the candidates for the office are called politicians, invited from abroad: a former employee of the economic Department of the Embassy of USA to Ukraine Natalie Jaresko (now the Minister of Finance of Ukraine), ex-President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili (now head of Odessa oblast) and even the former foreign Minister of Sweden Carl Bildt.

Also in January was published the result of the study, according to which the activities of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko dissatisfied 70% of the population. According to research conducted by Gallup, Poroshenko’s rating was lower than lower than those of his predecessor Viktor Yanukovych on the eve of the Maidan.
