Photographer and traveler Romain Waylon loves to visit different kinds of abandoned places.
His last outing was dedicated to the most famous amusement Park Nara Dreamland located in Japan.
The Park was built in 1961, according to the creators, he was supposed to be a Japanese Disneyland, it even says glamorous pink castle in this picture.
Dreamland for many years enjoyed success with the Japanese, they regularly visited their families. At one time the Park was equipped with the most advanced amusement Park rides: roller coaster, and all sorts of the carousel, and themed rooms and areas, as well as many, many more.
But in 2006, the Park had to close, the reason for that was the opening of two more modern and popular entertainment centers of Tokyo Disneyland and Universal Studios in Osaka. More famous competitors have significantly undermined the situation in Nara Dreamland, the number of visitors greatly reduced, resulting in huge losses.
Now this place attracts extreme tourists and photographers who like to wander around the forgotten people and places, creating an apocalyptic pictures. To the photographers, just, and belongs to Waylon.
Every year the Park, more and more absorbed nature, his rides covered with rust, and vines hide the once crowded buildings. All this gives this place a special kind of look, gives it a magical and unique atmosphere.
