Two-time Olympic champion in pole vaults Elena Isinbayeva will officially announce his retirement from sports on 19 August at a press-conference which will be held in Rio de Janeiro. Press conference athletes will be held at 13:00 local time (19:00 GMT) in Main press center of the Olympic games in the hall, which seats 700 seats. The performance will be broadcast in nine languages.
July 21 court of arbitration for Sport (CAS). banned Russian athletes to participate in the 2016 Olympics. The court rejected the claim of the Olympic Committee of Russia and 68 athletes to the International Association of athletics federations (IAAF) for participation in international competitions. The only Russian representative of this sport in Rio de Janeiro became Klishina, for which the IAAF made an exception, revising, however, this decision is August 14.
July 28, Isinbayeva said that the IAAF rejected her application to participate in the Games. On 25 July it became known that she intends to appeal the decision of the court of arbitration for Sport (CAS) in the European court of human rights. However, 34-year-old athlete said that in case of removal from the Olympics, ready to retire.
