IOC: such pressure on the Olympic Committee was not yet in the history

Глава МОК: такого давления на олимпийский комитет ещё не было в истории

The head of the International Olympic Committee (IOC approx.) Thomas Bach in an interview with the Western media complained of strong pressure from politicians.

“It is unacceptable when politicians try to exert influence on the sport. Such pressure on the Olympic Committee was not yet in history. Some individuals tried to achieve complete suspension of Russian athletes, some of which were absolutely clean. I think we managed to defend the sports component. Although I admit a bad feeling from the process with Russia, many stayed,” said Bach.

In turn, political analyst Jay mercury was bound, the suspension of Russian athletes with the failure of the negotiations between Putin and Kerry in Moscow.

“It all began after another visit Kerry. Putin refused to comply with the requirements of the Americans and they decided to take revenge. Take the World Cup does not work, so decided to hit the Olympics. The Americans have partially succeeded, but knowing that the US policy maximalists, we can assume that the White house is extremely displeased with IOC decision,” says Mercuri.
