Several suicide bombers attacked a government complex outside the capital of Iraq, killing at least 5 soldiers.
The chief of police of the city of Amiriyat of Fallujah in Western Anbar province Ali al-Issawi said that suicide bombers stormed a government complex on may 14 at dawn.
A. al-Issawi reported that some of the attackers blew themselves up during the clashes with security forces, while others hid inside buildings, and then were killed.
He added that five government soldiers were killed and over a dozen other people were injured.
The city is located a few kilometers South of Fallujah, the main stronghold of the group “Islamic state” in Anbar province, about 70 kilometers West of Baghdad.
This year, Iraqi forces have had success in Anbar province, regaining full control of the capital of Ramadi and reclaimed from the grouping “Islamic state” part of the territory of the province.
