The health rating made in accordance with the 33 “medical” indicators of sustainable development the journal The Lancet, Belarus has occupied 120-e a place. This is the worst result among included in the top countries of the former USSR.
The highest position among former Soviet republics, Estonia – 29th. Latvia has occupied 45-e a place, Lithuania – 47th, Uzbekistan – 55-e, Turkmenistan – 60-e, Azerbaijan – 75-e, Moldova-80, Kazakhstan – 85-e, Armenia – 86, Tajikistan – 99-e, Georgia – 106, Kyrgyzstan – 113-e, Ukraine -118-e a place Russia – 119-E.
First place in the ranking took Iceland. The top five also includes Singapore, Sweden, Andorra and the UK. The last 188-th place, occupied Central African Republic, which recorded the worst situation with hygiene, very high mortality from wars and malaria.
Among the criteria that were considered when ranking countries, child and infant mortality, the death rate in road accidents, obesity in children, consumption of alcohol and tobacco, the incidence of HIV, tuberculosis and hepatitis B, the number of suicides. In addition, the experts looked at deaths from violence and from deaths in the wars. The calculation for each criterion was based on the analysis of the situation from 1990 to 2015.
