Last week St Petersburg was in the power of cinema. Thirteen platforms, ten special programs, four retrospective — only two hundred of the works for seven days: such was the programme of the 26th edition of the international festival “Message to man”. Annually to showcase documentary, short, animated and experimental films receive three thousand applications, preference is given to paintings that are interesting from the point of view of a new word in art. “Message to man” is one of the most prestigious festivals of the country in the late ‘ 80s separated from MIFF and inherited from him the highest world standards of “a” category. Another guest of honor of “Message to man” — Isabelle Huppert, known to the world for daring psychological images embodied on the screen one of the most famous in “the Pianist” by Michael Haneke. At the festival the actress unveiled the new erotic Thriller from the author of “Basic instinct” — Paul Verhoeven, where he played a major role, harsh and very strange businesswoman Michelle.
