Thousands of people came out to protest in Seoul demanding the resignation of South Korean President Park Geun-Hye.
Police reported that the demonstration was attended by 8,000 people, was reported about 20 000 participants.
Many of the protesters came to the rally with placards “Park Geun-Hye, go away”.
“Park Geun-Hye lost the right to exercise presidential powers and showed that she does not have even the basic qualities to run the country,” said opposition Korean politician Lee E moon.
The protests started after the President of South Korea dismissed 10 senior advisers, recognizing that the texts of his public speeches edited by her close friend Choi sung-Salt. A woman who is not civil servants, is also suspected of meddling in state Affairs and the use of his position for financial gain.
Choi sung-Sol left the country even before the scandal, and denies that it was enriched at the expense of their ties to the government. On Saturday, prosecutors in South Korea have raided the homes of several presidential aides, suspected of aiding Choi sung-Salt.
During searches officials seized were computers and documents. 64-year-old Park Geun-Hye became the first female President in the history of South Korea, won the election in 2012. Election of the President of South Korea to be held next year.
