Polish authorities want to recognize OUN-UPA guilty of genocide of poles.
In the Polish Sejm has registered a bill according to which proposed to establish July 11 as Day of remembrance of the victims of the genocide that was committed by OUN-UPA on the Eastern fringes of the II Rzeczpospolita.
The corresponding project submitted by the opposition Polish peasant party.
Thus, the document stipulates that “the organized and massive scale of the Volyn crime has the character of ethnic cleansing and genocide.” In addition, it is noted that in the period from 1942 to 1945 in Volyn and Eastern Galicia “crime victims were 100 thousand poles.”
As noted, on 11 July this year will mark 73 years since the apogee of the wave of crimes” committed by Organization of Ukrainian nationalists and units of the Ukrainian insurgent army.
