Moscow authorities are preparing a plan for the expansion of paid Parking zone in the city. This was reported by Deputy Moscow mayor for transport Maxim Liksutov, reports TASS.

“Now we are working on proposals for the expansion of paid Parking zone. After about a month we’ll know where it’s appropriate to do and what rate there will act”, — said Liksutov.
Specific proposals for expansion of areas will prepare in October.
According to the city hall of Moscow, now the city is about 67.5 thousand paid Parking spaces.
The first paid Parking in Moscow was introduced in 2013 within the Boulevard ring. Then they came inside the Garden, expanded to 45 districts of the city and reached the Third transport ring. During this time, residents have repeatedly staged protests against paid Parking in residential areas.
Now Parking within the Boulevard ring costs 80 rubles, within the Garden — 60. Liksutov said that the municipality has no plans to reduce prices of Parking in the city centre. The Department of transport intends to prevent the appearance of “wandering in traffic” — when drivers are looking for a free Parking space in different areas of the city.
