21 October in the cinema “pioneer” was held the gala premiere of the adventure film “the Odyssey”, dedicated to the life of the great discoverer and traveler, Jacques-Yves Cousteau. In the Russian hire the picture leaves only December 1, but first the audience was able to see her as part of a weekend of French cinema “Is love”.

In order to provide the biggest adventure in the history of cinema, arrived in Moscow, the creators of “the Odyssey” – directed by jérôme Salle (“Tourist”, “Elusive”, “Largo winch”) and starring Lambert Wilson (“the Matrix Reloaded”, “Babylon our era”). In the morning the picture was shown to the journalists, followed by a press conference where you spoke about the creation of the tape: in particular, in order to play Cousteau, Wilson had to lose ten pounds and learn to deal with a portable camera and scuba gear that were used forty years ago.

“Odyssey” was filmed on the Islands of the Mediterranean sea and in South Africa. Some scenes were filmed in Antarctica – so, this tape became the first artistic film, shot on the southern continent, which the film crew had to go in a rather dangerous expedition and live for several days in harsh conditions.
