Two students of the St. Petersburg musical College named after M. P. Musorgsky Violetta Mikhailov and Love Startsev arrested for playing the harp in Moscow on Manezhnaya square, informs “the Notebook”.
The police drew up reports of violation under part 1 article 20.2 of the administrative code (violation by the organizer of the public event the organization of a rally, procession or picketing). Now the girls face a fine up to 20 thousand roubles or obligatory works.
“We have seized the instruments and cause in court August 10. Plus a fine of 10 thousand rubles each. This is absurd to some. We broke the law, Yes, I agree. But we didn’t do anything wrong. I don’t understand what is happening in the country: drunks — a fine of 500 rubles, but harmless girls, even worse. It adequately?” — said Mikhailov.
According to students, Mikhailov came to Moscow to enroll in a music high school, but she did not pass the competition. As a student of the St. Petersburg school was calculated on admission, she had no money for a ticket to St. Petersburg. To raise money for a return ticket, the girls decided to play in Manezhnaya street with their instruments — the harp and the cither. During the performance, they were detained by the police.
Earlier in Moscow has fined two street musicians on 10 thousand roubles each — Seeds lacsina cellist and guitarist Ivan Kharkov. Both were found guilty under part 1 of article 20.2 of the administrative code.
