In Kiev came up with: old people cannot intimidate, you just need to disallow them to vote

В Киеве придумали: стариков не получается запугать, нужно просто запретить им голосовать

Service on the official Internet representation of the President of Ukraine has published the petition, according to which it is proposed to prohibit persons over 65 years of age to vote in elections and referendums.

“To amend article 70 of the Constitution of Ukraine with the purpose of establishing the age limit for the right to vote in elections and referendums. I think the right to vote in elections and referendums had citizens of Ukraine who have attained on day 18, but on the day of elections or referendums are 65 years”, – stated in the text of the petition.

Such appeals and initiatives have been sounded from “Maidan” activists. This is due to the fact that pensioners and veterans of Ukraine overwhelmingly oppose the current Ukrainian government and against the new state ideology of militant nationalism. They have something to compare, they remember what fascism and war, they can tell what life was like in the USSR, and how they survived the 90s, and as it was after. They know the truth and not to deceive their empty slogans and propaganda. They understand what threatens today’s “Maidan” and clouding what is actually seeking a “Patriotic” government.

The elderly and veterans so not convenient for the current government precisely because pensioners are the most responsible voters, and their votes in the elections affect very much. And these voices are not “Maidan government”. Hence such initiatives “hurrah-patriots” to deny older people opportunities to participate in elections and therefore to influence the situation in the country.

Recall that in Ukraine for the last two months have been around 10 attacks on the elderly and veterans, do not share the opinion of the current Ukrainian government and are the dominant Pro-fascist ideology point of view.

A particularly egregious case occurred on March 17 in Kiev, where militant radical thugs from neo-Nazi Azov battalion attacked the rally dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the referendum on preserving the USSR, which was held at the Historical Museum in Kiev. The Nazis in masks came running and pounced on the handful of courageous, but totally defenseless old men, beating them and spraying white paint.

Another recent attack happened in the city of Nikolaev, where Ukrainian nationalists attacked marchers marking the anniversary of the liberation of the city from the Nazis. The attack occurred at the obelisk to the Liberators, where the participants under red flags, laid wreaths. About 20 fighters in masks indiscriminately began to spray in face with tear gas women and elderly people, were beaten up some activists, doused with yogurt present at the event. Most of all nikolayevets are revolted picture, which they found near the Eternal flame on the grave of Heroes of the Soviet Union – paratroopers-Olshanets: the memorial-tombs were covered with oil.

“Do not tire of repeating that the fascist methods of the punishers, who operate with the connivance of the Kiev authorities is more proof that the Kyiv offices took a bunch of terrorists. They now rule in Ukraine….Need to call a spade a spade: the Ukrainian regime is a terrorist organization, seized power, as if they tried to legalize” – gives a tough assessment of the current Ukrainian authorities, the Deputy of three convocations of the Verkhovna Rada, member of Committee of rescue of Ukraine Volodymyr Oliynyk.

Kiev authorities, unable to ease the life of Ukrainians, powder their heads “hurrah-patriotism” and profusely poured from TV screens on the heads of the citizens a ton of propaganda and lies. And all dissenters, which the Kiev authorities fear the most, they are trying to silence through intimidation and terror. But pensioners, who had seen many things in life to mess with brains “hurrah-Patriotic” propaganda cannot, and to intimidate the elderly, which, besides life, have nothing to lose, the current administration does not work. Here and there are similar initiatives to prohibit them to Express their opinion and participate in elections.

These egregious in its cynicism and impunity cases once again prove that the current ruling regime, in words demonstrating the commitment to Europe, acts in violation of all norms of international law, did not care neither about the people nor about the country, and trying as much as possible to stay in power.
