In Kharkov you can look at unique vintage cars.
Last weekend Kharkov was visited by guests from the past — about 170 cars, which arrived from different regions of Ukraine and even countries to “Kharkov, retrokit”. At the stadium “Start” the townspeople admired the cars, produced in Germany, France, USA, great Britain and the Union, and the vivid spectacle of retroprosthetic was the rally “VOLG”.
Among the many legendary brands, one of the organizers of the rally, car enthusiast Uncle Spotlight, this year highlights of all French “Delaunay-Belleville” — a contemporary of Emperor Nicholas II. Turns out the car’s 1907 edition still on the go, but to go on it the owners of Zaporozhye decided not to. But an entrepreneur from London Jerome McGillivray part of the journey overcame on your Jaguar XK. A Briton willingly opened the hood of the car, threw back the roof and was allowed to sit behind the wheel.
“This car is 1997 model year — with cruise control and the dash walnut. I bought it in London a few years ago. Our family has a car, but this machine is very compact, so we leave it for the city, for shopping and to friends. Car from London, was taken to Poland and from there I went to Kharkov for about 20 hours”, — told the “Today” Jerome.
Also, visitors saw the cars Ford, Mercedes-Benz, Rolls-Royce, Bentley, rare instances, a motor-Constitution of the Soviet and vintage bikes. The owners of the machines, equipped with powerful speakers, participated in the competitions in car audio. But the most spectacular event of the gathering was a rally “VOLG”. The car I dreamed of all Soviet citizens, on Saturday I drove around the city, causing the admiration from passers-by.
