The police of Hungary is going to employ 3 thousand people for the position of “boundary hunters”. They will join 10 thousands of soldiers and police who currently guard the barbed wire fence erected on the Hungarian border to curb the flow of migrants.
“Hunters” will carry guns with live ammunition, pepper spray, batons, handcuffs and protective clothing.
In recent years, the number of refugees trying to get to Hungary from the South through the border with Serbia, fell. Now it’s a little less than 200 people a day.
New employees of the border authorities should start work in may, and before that held a six-month training. According to one of the police officers for the position of recruit people over the age of 18, in good physical shape to be able to pass a psychological test.
Salary “hunters” will be 150 thousand HUF (542 USD) during the first two months, and then 220 300 HUF (790 dollars).
At the moment Hungary is open access 30 refugees a day as they cross the border through a special transit zone.
The number of those who are awaiting access to the transit zone in the refugee camps from Serbia has decreased by half compared with the previous month – 364 located in the Horgos and 103 in Celebii.
