Most of them have right-wing overtones.
From January to October this year, the number of attacks on hostels for asylum seekers in Germany rose compared to the same period last year by almost a quarter.
So, for ten months 832 committed a similar offence, was announced on Saturday, 5 November, the newspaper Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung, citing Federal office for criminal matters (BKA).
By the end of October 2015, the Agency has registered 637 of such attacks. In 772 the crime, the police see right-wing motives, in the 60 cases of political offenses, “not excluded”. 330 incidents resulted in property damage, 144 cases violence was used, said BKA. German law enforcement agencies have counted 63 arson and 12 attempts, the explosion of hostels for refugees, in four cases, the explosions really happened.
In may the Minister of internal Affairs of Germany Thomas de maizière has already reported on the increasing number of crimes against migrants in 2016. This steep increase began simultaneously with the migration crisis in 2015. Last year in total there were 1031 violation of this kind, the previous year’s 199, and in 2013 – only 69.
