In China the former head of the Communist party of South-Western Yunnan Bai of Angpa was sentenced to death with reprieve for bribery.
“The amount of the bribe, which took the Buy ENPI was huge,” said on Twitter the court of Anyang city. The official received 246 million yuan of bribes (about 37 million U.S. dollars).
The court decided on the death penalty with reprieve, which usually amounts to life in prison, because Bai admitted his crimes and expressed regret.
It is worth noting that China’s courts are under the control of the party and not deny the charge, especially in cases of corruption.
