In Chernivtsi bus driver knocked down a pedestrian and crashed into a pole on the street Sagaydachny. This was announced by the mayor Alexei Kaspruk on his page in Facebook on Sunday, 2 October.
In the accident the woman was lost, six passengers were injured.
“According to preliminary information, the driver became ill and lost control, knocked down a pedestrian, crashed into a house. Killed an elderly man injured passengers. Thank God, the injury of the people is not heavy, after first aid all were released home,” he said.
Kaspruk also said that this is the last warning to carriers.
“Take care of the safety of passengers and the proper conditions for their drivers.The question is: how the driver passed a medical examination before starting a route?” – the mayor noted.
According to local newspaper Young bukovynets, because of the accident blocked traffic on the streets Sahaidachny and Sholom Aleichem.
