On the market the novelty will appear by the end of 2016.
Hyundai has revealed in South Korea the “charged” version of sedan Avante/Elantra sixth generation. The novelty has the original design elements of the exterior and interior, as well as the 204-horsepower supercharged motor. After the Korean version should appear similar cars in other markets.
The new Avante/Elantra Sport differs from the standard model of a modified head optics with red inserts, a modified front bumper with enlarged sections of daytime running lights and the rear bumper with a faux diffuser.
Also added side skirts, twin exhaust pipes and 18-inch wheel disks of original design (in an optional package “Extreme”). The interior is equipped with seats with the developed lateral support, in the interior there were red accents and decorative inserts under carbon, and the steering wheel is “cut” at the lower chord.
The sedan is equipped with a “topochemical” volume of 1.6 liters, which develops 204 HP and 265 Nm of torque. The engine can be paired with a six-speed “mechanics” or semidiaphanous “robot” with two clutches.
To establish the lap record of the nürburgring of such combinations is not enough, however, it is expected that to the first “hundred” novelty will accelerate faster than eight seconds.
In South Korea, sales of Hyundai Avante Sport will begin in the coming months. In the United States and in other markets the same version of the Elantra will be available by the end of the year
