How to get rid of pesticides in vegetables and fruits

Pesticides are toxic substances that are used to protect the crop from harmful insects, weeds, fungi and rodents.

They are good at their task, but it is very dangerous to human health. According to Western research, these substances affect the brain, mammary glands, lungs, kidneys, pancreas, prostate and can cause cancer of the stomach.

In medical practice, many cases when pesticides became culprits of chronic diseases neurological and dermatological nature, increased the risk of Parkinson’s disease, and the children developed epilepsy and leukemia. To get the dose of toxic substances, not necessarily to stand on the field during spraying: pesticides can be detected in most of the purchase of fruits and vegetables.

Most often, the pesticides found in strawberries, apples, nectarines, peaches, grapes, bell peppers, spinach, celery, tomatoes, cucumber and peas. Products containing the least toxic of these substances: pineapple, grapefruit, avocado, papaya, kiwi, mango, melon, cabbage, asparagus, eggplant, onions, corn, cauliflower. Tip 1: rinse under running water

After spraying most pesticides remain on the stems and leaves of plants. To remove harmful toxins, fruits and vegetables before eating better rinse under warm running water. This should be done very carefully, as pesticides are poorly soluble in water.

This method is effective and for products treated with wax (for example, apples), as the pesticides can be stored under a waxy film.

Tip 5: use home remedies for cleaning

Aerosols for cleaning fruits and vegetables appeared on the Russian market not so long ago. They are ordinary cans of spray. However, their composition is no less harmful substances than pesticides. It is better to use a simple, homemade recipes. For example, well-proven water with a small addition of vinegar. All you need to soak the fruit or vegetable into the solution for 1-2 minutes. Then thoroughly rinse the product under running water and dry with paper towel.
