The tax will be levied as independent and organized travelers, regardless of the season.
Greece will introduce a tourist tax of 0,25 Euro up to 4 Euro per night depending on category of accommodation from 1 January 2018.

The high tax of 4 Euro per night will be paid by tourists staying in the hotel category “5 stars”, 3 Euro per night – those who will stay in a four star hotel, 1.5 euros for a three star hotel.
At least 1 Euro will be paid by the tourists who take off for a holiday apartment or flat, of 0.5 euros per night for three-bedroom apartments or hotels with one or two stars and 0,25 Euro for accommodation in a single or two furnished rooms in apartment.
Greece has introduced a tourist tax as part of a package of austerity measures which the government adopted in may 2016.
