– 2 eggs,
– 125 g molasses,
– 200 g coarse brown sugar.
Cooking
Mix in one container the flour, ginger, baking powder, cinnamon, cloves and salt.
In a separate bowl, whisk until smooth the butter, sugar-sand, stir in eggs and molasses.
Using a wooden spoon stir the resulting mixture of dry ingredients.
Knead the dough on a floured surface, roll into balls with a diameter of approximately 5 cm, dipped in brown sugar and spread on a baking sheet at a small distance from each other.
Bake at 180 degrees for 12-14 minutes.
Cool on a wire rack for 15 minutes.

Soup-puree of carrot with ginger
Ingredients
– 7 peeled and finely chopped large carrots,
– 3 tablespoons of butter,
– 500 g finely chopped white onion
– 1 teaspoon of ginger,
– 500 ml chicken or vegetable broth
– 2 shavings of orange peel,
– 500 ml water
– pepper and salt to taste
– finely chopped parsley and dill for decoration.
Cooking
Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat and fry the onion and carrot until soft, stirring often.
Salt and pepper the vegetables while roasting.
Add the broth, water, orange peel and ginger, bring to boil, reduce the heat to medium level and cover the pot with a lid. Cook for 20 minutes.

Remove orange zest, blend the soup until smooth.
