In the first eight months of 2016, Russia supplied weapons abroad by $ 8 billion, said the Deputy head of the Federal service for military-technical cooperation Anatoly Punchy at the international exhibition Africa Aerospace and Defence.
“Total exports for 8 months amounted to 8 billion. In principle, every year the sales are like in the beginning of the year less, then gain momentum and by year end we leave on the planned volumes“, said Punchy.
Vladimir Putin earlier said that in 2015 Russia has sold weapons to 14.5 billion dollars, and a portfolio of orders for the near future is approximately $ 50 billion.
